The South American heroes of Los Calchakis travel the world as musical apostles with folk music from the Andes. Indigenous instruments such as the charango (a small string instrument), quena (a traditional flute), zampona (panpipes), bombo (a large drum) and guitar are their loyal companions. The typical traditional folk songs are interspersed with new compositions inspired by the spirited music scene in Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Argentina. With more than 40 (!) albums to their name, they continue to passionately bring the music of the Latin American continent to a large audience.
